Brighton and Portsmouth are on the southern coast of England. It was a beautiful drive from London. On the way I discovered Arundel, with its ancient castle.

Portsmouth has the house where Charles Dickens was born.

Among other things, Brighton is famous for the Palace Pier, which was celebrating its 100 years when I was there. On the pier, I stumbled onto a bachelorette party at a karaoke bar. The bride-to-be and several of her friends were excellent singers and they were having a great time.
